We’re moving into my favorite season for fashion – fall! In just a few short weeks I can officially start wearing all my fall clothes and accessories without looking silly, ha! The temps here will not change for a long time but those of us who love boots and layers will start wearing them regardless. Fall is a state of mind for Floridians. My August closet additions are things I’ll be wearing now and later!
Just in case you are new here, each month I recount what I’ve added to my closet. These are the things I purchased with my own money as well as gifted items from collaborations. If you’re thinking this seems excessive, you’d be correct. However, when you choose to embark in this business it’s part of it. What you don’t see are the clothes I am constantly giving away to friends and family, donating to women at church, and sometimes selling on Poshmark.

August Closet Additions
The benefit of this monthly practice is that I have a better sense of why I shop and have become so much more discerning. It’s a gift to me quite honestly!
My first purchase of the month was this blouse that came in my Trendsend box. It was a solid purchase, I love the fabric and style. It will work well into fall for me and I don’t think I’ll tire of it next year. I’ll be able to wear it 3 seasons of the year.

These camo pants were too hard to pass on, the best $17 I’ve spent this year. This white blouse is a favorite purchase too from August.

Last year I admired the cropped trench styles that were showing up everywhere. But I couldn’t find the ONE. Well, I am happy to report that I have found it. I really like the weight of this one, it’s soft and slips on so easily! I cannot wait to wear it as soon as the weather cools.

In July I tried on a few things at Old Navy. I really like the denim dress but didn’t love it enough to buy it. With fall in mind, I realized the darker wash would be perfect – especially with boots!

I was inspired to wear my blue blazer with a blue tank underneath. I actually saw someone on a show wearing it and realized I could do this but I needed a blue tank. Amazon to the rescue! Bought this and love it.

My final purchase of the month – this 2 piece outfit from Amazon. I have a trip to Charleston, SC coming up and I think this will be perfect. I can throw a denim jacket over my shoulders if needed. It comes in lots of other colors and I am wearing it in a size small.

Gifted Clothing
These three new dresses for fall were gifted to me by Zesica. Zesica is an Amazon seller and I was so happy with these. In fact, I wore the navy one out one Saturday night when we went to the musical Clue at a nearby playhouse. These all come in MANY colors and sizes, I am wearing a small in all 3.

This one is so lovely, I can hardly wait to wear it with my boots. It’s just a little too heavy to wear now in my humid climate but once the weather cools, it will be wonderful!

Another great dress for fall. This one is exactly what I like to wear in the fall. It’s lined, has the slightest puff sleeve and of course the v-neck. It checks all the boxes.

August brought me the opportunity to work with Cato Fashions. I have never been to a Cato store so this was all new to me. I was asked to pick two complete outfits – head to toe!
