Today’s post will be on the rather short side even though I’m sharing a midi skirt – ha! Work has been very busy this week and I’ve run out of time. Of course, I could not let the week slip away without sharing my Amazon denim midi skirt – it’s too good to keep to myself.
Amazon Denim Midi Skirt
True, I have been interested in a denim skirt and also true I tried one on that I liked at Abercombie the other day. But on a whim I fell down the Amazon rabbit hole and ended up finding one that I believe is ‘the one’!
Styling the Denim Midi
Have you ever wanted something and then got it and thought, “okay, now what?” I was determined to not let that happen with this skirt. It arrived on Monday and I could hardly wait to get it out of the package – I knew exactly what I’d pair it with for the inaugural outfit!
Keeping it casual but classy, I wore my vest and kitten heels. I kept the jewelry gold and to a minimum. The Coach bag is the perfect handbag to complete the look. I’d wear this just about anywhere. Honestly, when I worked at school I could have worn it there. It just depends on the dress code of your workplace.
The Deets on this Midi
There are quite a few things I really like about this midi skirt. First of all the fit is good – I am wearing a medium. At 5’5″ the length is perfect. I like that the slit isn’t too high and the wash is uniform – nothing patchy, acid washed, or distressed.
The only thing I’m not certain about is the asymmetrical fly. It takes a little getting used to when it comes to zippering and buttoning. I’m also not certain the inside button will hold on – seems like it might be loose. The button isn’t essential as far as I can tell so it may not matter but it is worth noting. Other than that, I think the quality is good and I am pleased with the midi skirt.
