Ageless Style Link Up

Happy January 2 friends! I am thrilled to announce that I have been invited to join the fabulous ladies of the Ageless Style Link Up! Each month the 10 of us come together to share a theme with you and show you how regardless of age we can wear ANYTHING! This month’s theme is retro style – something that had been trendy once and has now resurfaced. We are also adding a new feature – a monthly co-host! So much excitement and I am honored and humbled to participate!

So in true Kellyann style I racked my brain trying to come up with something fabulous, this being my first go round with the Ageless Style ladies. In the midst of all my fretting I turned to Pinterest and my 70’s inspired clothing board for inspiration. That’s when I realized my love of flare jeans (save,splurge,splurge) fit the bill perfectly. Paired with a pussy bow blouse, long cardigan, and platform wedge sandals I’d say I’ve channeled my inner 70’s loving side quite well!

I’ll let you in on a little secret – I absolutely LOVE flare jeans and if I wasn’t so clumsy my flares would be much wider. Unfortunately this is all the flare I can handle. When I’m walking my feet get all caught up and while I haven’t actually fallen I have come very close. Am I the only one with this problem?
I’m not entirely sure you can classify my blouse as a legitimate pussy bow blouse but I think you get the idea. According to Wikipedia a pussy bow blouse is one that ties at the neck similar to what a tie around a kitten’s neck would look like. The print may make it hard to tell in these photos but I did tie my blouse and I like it although I think it would be uncomfortable on an actual feline friend! (similar,another option,another option)
Born in 1968 (yes I am turning 50 this year!) I was in grade school during the 70’s. I remember well long cardigans that were belted back then. I always loved them and still do minus the belt of course (save,splurge).
