Ageless Style January 2019 – Faux Fur Fun

Welcome to the first installment for 2019 of Ageless Style! Ageless Style is a very special group of over 40 style bloggers, there are nine of us and one guest blogger each month. Together, the ten of us take on a chosen theme proving that age is merely a number and style is everything!

This month the always fabulously styled Jennie from A Pocketful of Polka Dots chose faux fur as our theme. Our guest co host is someone I just absolutely adore! Sweet Leslie of Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After is a former librarian turned blogger joining us this month and I just love what she is wearing! I hope you’ll visit each and every one of us to see how we style the theme and you’ll link up with us too!

Living where I do I honestly don’t have much need for any type of fur – faux or otherwise. But I always have a need for something fun so I was on board with this theme! I actually decided to look on Poshmark for something fun to style. If you aren’t yet familiar with it, Poshmark is an online consignment shop. You can find just about anything your heart desires! My good friend Jess of Elegantly Dressed and Stylish is the master Poshmark shopper so I was channeling my inner Jess while perusing the site! But look what I found! It’s a faux fur vest!#FauxFurVest#FauxFurVestI am carrying my new tote bag! I got this for Christmas. The infamous Madewell Transport Tote – Nordstrom was price matching so it became mine. I love it because I can throw my laptop in it so I can work in remote locations (something I plan to do more of this year). The fact that it is leather and has no logo on it is also a bonus for me. I don’t need to be a walking advertisement for a brand, ya know?#FauxFurVestMy new leopard booties are also making their blogging debut! I was so nervous ordering them because they are a Nordstrom store brand (Halogen and now sold out – boo) and I was afraid they wouldn’t be very comfortable. Let me tell you they are terrific and I love wearing them!#FauxFurVestEverything else I am wearing is old. Remember when I wore olive and oxblood back in November? Well I did it again with a few adjustments. I added a bralette under my tunic (in addition to my bra) and of course the vest and leopard booties (similar and on sale) are new this time around.

I had a hard time finding a comparable vest but this one is a similar style. Here are some other options:

Here’s our guest co-host Leslie!
