What to Wear to a Blogger Meet up

Happiest of Mondays to you fine friends! On Friday I mentioned that I was meeting up with a fellow blogger for lunch on Saturday.  I’m so glad so many of you were excited to find out just WHO I was meeting! Seems 2018 is the year for me to meet IRL some of the women I adore virtually.

A few months ago I became acquainted with Kim of Fierce Fashion. She had commented on my blog that she lived in Tampa – roughly 2 hours from Orlando where I live.  She sent me an email and asked if I’d like to get together for lunch. Here’s the thing, I have been DYING to spend quality time with another blogger.  This could not have come at a better time.

Once Kim and I got together we laughed because we had both wondered what to wear! It’s easy to find that kind of common ground when you meet up with another fashion blogger. We had a great time talking up a storm about all kinds of things. The hours flew too quickly for us but we both agreed we’d do this once a month. In fact we have plans to do something even more fun next month!

Since Kim is in Tampa and I’m in Orlando we decided to meet in Lakeland – a good half way mark for us both. We decided on Ford’s Garage for lunch. It was great, lots of fun props and the salads we had were delicious! Luckily Kim brought her tripod so we could take some pictures, never mind the restaurant was busy with people coming and going – we just posed and snapped away, lol!
I wore a new blouse from Kohl’s (I’m wearing a medium in Paisley After Midnight) along with some old favorites. My favorite wedges, my favorite pink chinos, and of course my Kendra Scott necklace and bracelets. I almost always wear my Nickel & Suede leather earrings because they go with everything! And how about my cute friend Kim? I love that she wore a skirt and her leopard top and pink necklace just proved the point that we are like minded when it comes to fashion!
What do you wear when you’re meeting someone new? I think it’s best to be comfortable and true to yourself just like Kim and I did. Neither of us was concerned with trying to impress the other one we wore what we like! Stop by Kim’s blog to hear her take on the meet up!
