Styling Velvet Jeans and Link Up

Fall and winter call for all the cozy fabrics and while velvet may not necessarily be on the short list for cozy, these velvet jeans from Old Navy will have you thinking twice. These jeans are soft and stretchy yet look so luxe. Right now they are 50% off so this is a great time to share with you styling options for velvet jeans.

Something new today…I took my own photos using my tripod and self timer! So if things are a little blurry and my feet are cut off, that’s why! Ha!! Practice is the only way I’ll get better so I’ll be practicing my face off until these photos look better.

#1 Velvet Jeans Dressed Up

All dressed up but no place to go? Bah humbug! You don’t need to be going anywhere special to look and feel special. Dress up for a nice evening at home and snap some photos of you and your loved ones. Why not?

Velvet plays so nicely with other fabrics. I opted for the color Gray Stone rather than the typical black. The color is softer yet still bold enough to carry a sequin top. Not a fan of gray? No worries, these jeans come in 8 colorways, you are sure to find one you’ll love!

#2 Velvet Jeans and a Long Cardigan

Gray and red look so good together; especially this time of year. Festive but not over the top so you can wear this combo long after we bid 2020 adieu. The white shirt pops against the bright red for a classic look that I just love. I’m still trying to master the half tuck too – boy it is a lot harder than it looks!

This red cardigan is a great weight for my climate. If I lived someplace cooler I’d add a scarf but that is certainly not needed here in Central Florida. I’d add more jewelry too but I don’t have access at the moment, womp, womp, womp. #renovationblues

Let’s chat about these shoes for a minute. I am in love with them. Last week I wore them to the Loft event I attended. Afterwards I ran errands. Y’all, I ran errands in these heels. I never do that. Normally in a shoe like this I do one thing and head home to change into something more comfortable. Head to Walking Cradles to find your own comfortable heels! Right now you’ll save 30% – I just bought a pair for my mom for Christmas!

#3 Velvet Jeans and Graphic Tee

Why not dress down those velvet jeans with a graphic tee? I love the juxtaposition of fancy shmancy velvet and a casual, rocker graphic tee. Comfortable and trendy; perfect for running errands or staying home and watching Christmas movies.

The state of things…I write my blog posts days in advance and edit and add pictures as necessary. However, with all the construction happening at my house lately, sometimes my plans go out the window. Like with this post. If you follow me on Instagram you have been seeing the updates on our renovations and this picture of where my clothes are being stored comes as no surprise. On Monday when they came to lay our tile they took down our bed and it is now blocking my clothes! So I apologize for the lack of photos. Here’s a picture of where my clothes are currently being stored.

My favorite post from last week was this one from Is This Mutton? With my obvious love of a long cardigan it caught my eye. Check it out if you haven’t already.
