Special Thursday Moda and Giveaway

Happy Thursday friends!  Today’s not just any Thursday though.  Yes, it’s the first day of February but it’s also my sweet friend Ada’s 100th Thursday Moda!  I am thrilled to be joining Ada and some other fabulous bloggers to celebrate.  On top of that we have a special giveaway because hey, what’s a celebration without a little takeaway, huh? Seriously, wouldn’t YOU want to win a $200 gift card to Target? Of course you would!

So while February has us all thinking red and pink for Valentine’s Day and Women’s Heart Disease Awareness I chose to share my blue pleated skirt (similar) with this silver velour top for a night out outfit.  I have shared my skirt (similar) before here. Blue and silver are just so perfect together that I couldn’t resist pairing these two together when this top arrived last week. Here’s the deal, I saw this top on Carrie here back at the end of December and I immediately placed an order! The only problem was it took several weeks to get here. If you’re interested in adding a similar top try this one or this one for $16.

I’m not certain I love it on me as much as I did on Carrie but I’m giving it the old college try!

I am still loving these shoes (under$40!) as they are very comfortable. You’ll have to excuse my super white feet. It had been chilly for a few days so I wasn’t using my self tanner on the bottom half of my body. Normally if I was caught in this type of predicament I’d grab my Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs and I’d be good to glow (lol) in a few minutes. But the only place I was headed to was happy hour with the hubs and I was wearing leggings and boots!

Let’s get to the fun part of today’s post!

That top is super cute. I love the little off the shoulder thing going on. Just the right amount of sexy. I bet my husband would love it if I added something like that to my wardrobe.

Look at you Ms. Thang. Collab, collab, collab. We’re gonna’ have to change the name of your blog. You are so popular😘 You look party perfect in your pleated skirt. Say that 3 times fast. I really should try to find a pleated skirt for myself. (I’m kinda afraid I’ll look to poofy though) So very fun that you are helping Ada celebrate her 100th Moda post. Have the best day. Time for me to get my booty moving and get to bible study! XOXO

You crack me up my friend! Ada has been so sweet and helpful, I am so excited to help her celebrate this milestone. I’m with you about the pleats and being poofy, especially since my middle has gotten so chubby lately but some pleats are better than others!
Have fun at bible study sweet friend!

This is a lovely color combination. I really like your beautiful pleated skirt. I have one similar in grey and am already plotting how I can wear some pretty blue with it soon!

Who’s the hottie now, with that OTS thing going on? You know, girl, I’m seeing this top with your faux leathers … do you want to give that a try? I thinking all that silver and leather has got to be a winning formula for TP!!!

I love the colors together! That top is fabulous on you and I love the slightly longer length! I just got a pair of blue velvet joggers and I think I need to pair them with silver or grey. What a fab color combo!

Thanks Laura! I really appreciate it. I almost didn’t use these photos because I was afraid it looked too much like a holiday outfit! The top is super comfy and these days I am constantly reaching for cozy and comfy!

You and your words are amazing Kellyann. I love what you wrote about me and that you joined my celebration. Thank you for dressing up and for me. I remember that cute silver velvet top when I saw it on Carrie. It looks just as gorgeous on you, especially with the gorgeous pleated skirt.

Thank you for being part of the 100th Linkup Celebration+Giveaway and for always being a ray of sunshine to me and always supporting my blog and collabs. It has been fun and I cannot wait to do more in the future my sweet friend.

Lots of love from Vivian and I. I read her your sweet card and she said “Aww. Thank You” and smiled. =)

Awwww sweet Ada, you are just the kindest and most creative lady! I am so grateful to the help you’ve given me, especially the feedback about the whole linking to my blog directly thing – I never knew!!!! You have quite a bit to be celebrating and all of your hardwork has really paid off, you are a beautiful and respected blogger, professional, and most of all mother to that sweet little angel of yours! I just had to send sweet Vivian a card since her birthday is on the same day as my precious older son, Nolan. It warms my heart to hear she said thank you and smiled – so precious!!!
Thanks for all you do Ada!!

I’ve been wanting to stop by to see your post all day, but had a sick kid home from school… so, finally logging on tonight. WOW, you look so pretty in this combo! I love the silver top worn off the shoulder like that and it looks perfect with that pleated skirt. I actually just ordered a pleated skirt a few days ago and I can’t wait for it to arrive. It’s burgundy, so I am sure the silver top would work with it. Thanks so much for the call out, sweet friend!

Kellyann, I love this outfit so much! The blue and silver are so great together. And the velvet and pleats create such a beautiful combination of rich textures! So, so pretty, my friend.
