Magenta Flame

Last week I shared two different looks featuring my blue, bell sleeve top. I’m back today with a third, and I might add my favorite look! This one will be perfect when things start to cool down or the air conditioning at school works consistently. You won’t believe this but it was 93 degrees at 6am last Wednesday morning! I kid you not. And the air conditioning gets turned off at our school every night (and all weekend) and doesn’t come on again until about 6am the following morning. We spend a good part of the day waiting to cool off. And forget Monday mornings, it’s bedlam! Needless to say I am in no hurry to wear pants any time soon! But when I’m ready I’ll reach for these magenta flame  beauties! My bell sleeve blouse (similar blouse  )works well with these cropped pants from Macy’s. They are under $23! Of course I am wearing my new shoes and a blue necklace.

These pants are pretty terrific. They are pull on pants! Isn’t that crazy? But they are super comfortable and have enough stretch to pull on and still hold their shape if that makes sense. The price is right too at under $23!

Remember how I shared that as long as I wore a dark bra with my top it wasn’t see through? Yeah, well, you may notice that in these pictures I’m wearing a nude bra. Oops! I won’t make that mistake again, lol.

Lately there’s been a lot of talk about transition outfits. For me, this is about as transition as I can really get. I’ll wear something like this until a cold front comes through and I need to temporarily wear something warmer. So if you’re like me in a very warm climate, check these pants out. They work now and they’ll work with boots later. I can’t wait to wear them with a black sweater or tunic and tall black boots! I’ll blend in with my office, hahahaha!!!

You’ve seen so much of this bell sleeve blouse (similar) now, are you feeling like you need one?  Did you take advantage of the sale at Loft last week?  How about my wedges, are you ready to give them a try? I’ll tell you how comfortable they are – on Monday (the first day of school) I went to the movies in the evening. After a long, hot day at school I came home and changed and it felt so good to slip on  these beauties! They are seriously the most comfortable wedges I’ve ever owned. And guess what? Last Friday we were at the funeral of our best friend’s father and you know what? Our friend’s 20 year old, college student niece was wearing the very same wedges! See? I am super cool! Cue the eye roll from my son!

Thanks so much for stopping by, it’s always a pleasure to hear from you! Here’s hoping your Wednesday is wonderful and you get your shop on!

    1. You know what’s funny about our school? We have a few portables and parents HATE when their kids are in a portable. They all want to be in the main building. But the portables always have cold a/c even when ours is broken they’re cool! They really have the best set up in my opinion. I guess either extreme isn’t necessarily good. I am hoping for a cooler Winter than last year, fingers crossed we have cold weather ahead!

    1. Thanks Phyllis, and yes, I think this top would be flattering on any size. The dark color, the 3/4 sleeves, and the fact that it’s not terribly blousy all lend well to a flattering shape! Call me and we can shop sometime!

  2. You’ve done it again! Beautiful! Those pants are CRAZY!!! Such a great price and so many colors. If I wore something other than jeans more I’d definitely be checking those out. You are so scandalous in that nude bra…LOL (I wouldn’t have even noticed) Why is it that schools A/C units never work properly. Is it like some kind of law??? Totally not fair when you live on the surface of the sun. Happy Friday eve beautiful, blonde friend!!!XOXO

    1. I felt so risque when I saw these pictures, I hesitated about putting any on Instagram, lol! I am becoming a prude, hee hee. These pants are so comfortable I really should get some other colors, they’re like leggings only better.
So I think the A/C never works properly because it’s a cheap unit! The thing breaks all the time. Maybe if they ran it all the time it wouldn’t have to work so hard! Ugh, who knows but eventually December will come and it will be a little more comfortable. Really, I only have to wait about 3 more months, I can do it! I’ll just have to live vicariously through everyone else as they wear layers and sip PSL. I’ll be running the A/C and wearing shorts. The life of a Floridian who wishes she lived up north!

  3. It is always a good thing when you wear the same thing as someone a few decades younger than you. Your job as a fashionista is done. 😉 But then again you are always super stylish as this outfit and all your outfits attest. Love the top. This is as transitional as it will be for me to, from Summer to Fall. You did well my friend.

Thanks so much for co-hosting last week and we shall do it again, very soon!

    1. Thanks Ada! I hope you had a fabulous vacation. Co-hosting was fun, thanks again for the opportunity.
It certainly added a little pep to my step when I spotted my wedges on a 20 year old, ha!

    1. Girl, you’d love these wedges, I am so happy to have found them! You’d think in a hot place like Florida they’d know better than to make the a/c work overtime to cool the place after a whole weekend. It’s not good for anyone, ugh! I always have to take that into account when I get dressed on a Monday. Hope you’re having a great week Shelly!

    1. Oh yes, Mary, December would be perfect because it’s not cold but not as hot as the rest of the year. I really wish I lived in a different climate, can you tell? All I ever do is complain!!!! Ha! Oh well, I guess I’m here for a reason. Thanks so much sweet friend, every time I wear my wedges I think of you worrying about me toppling over and I smile, so sweet you are!

    1. Haha!!! I’m probably way more self conscious about the bra than I need to be! Thanks Lorena, I love these colors together too.

    1. Thanks Lisa! I have been looking for a pair of pants this color since last Winter and I’m so glad I finally found them!

  4. I love those pants! I have a similar pair of bright pink ankle pants and they are so fun to wear, especially for work! I know what you mean about school temps too. In the winter they shut off the heat at night and the weekends so we have the opposite problem-it’s freezing! Hope it cools down for you soon!

    1. Thanks Laura. I searched for a pair of pants in this color for some time before finding these, I couldn’t believe how hard it was! I know I’ll be wearing them quite a bit to work since they’re so comfortable and I am in love with the color. As if working in a school isn’t filled with enough of it’s own unique challenges, sounds like we all have to deal with crazy temperatures too! Things will probably be a bit better in about 8 weeks so I am counting down until then. Have a great weekend!!!

    1. I’ll never understand why anyone would think turning the air completely off is a good idea, I mean turn it up yes, but off – NO! Then the system has to work twice as hard and everyone is unhappy. Ugh!!!

    1. I adore these pink pants and they go with so much, I searched for a pair for months and was thrilled to find these. Thanks so much Shelbee!
