Loft Spring Sale

Today starts a great sale at Loft, 40% off everything in stores and online with your LOVELOFT or Ann Taylor card (30% off if you’re not a cardholder). If you shop online use code: SPRING17. The sale runs until March 26 but if you shop on March 25 cardholders earn Double Points and get a special gift with your $80 purchase! Sweet!

When I received the Spring 2017 mailer I made a note to be sure to visit the store and try on some of the items that caught my eye. I’ll apologize in advance for the picture overload.

This first ruffle sleeve tee in black is cute. It’s a nice, lightweight material. I tried on a medium petite. You can find this great basic here..
I really like the next top, I love the sleeves and it has the cutest criss cross tie in the back, which of course I could not get a picture of because I am not at all coordinated. I tried it on in a small.

I think this top would look great with pants and shorts alike, the color is so pretty! You can find it here.
Since I seem to always be in need of a white blouse I thought I’d give this updated version a shot. The bell sleeves are the perfect amount of “bell” – in other words they aren’t so huge they get in the way. I’m wearing it in a small.

You can find it here.

Moving right along, I think this next one was my favorite. The embroidered flower detail at the top is gorgeous! I tried it on in a small.

I tried it on with a great pair of pants. I love the color and weight of these pants, I would wear them in place of jeans to work. Find the top here and the pants here, I tried on the pants in the color Serene Blue.

My love of off the shoulder tops continues. Now I am really trying to find tops that can be worn comfortably both ways (on or off the shoulder) because I’d like to be able to wear these tops to work. The next two blouses can be worn both ways, of course they look better off the shoulder! I’m wearing them both in size small.

You can find the floral top here and the off white top here. It may be hard to tell from the pictures but both of these tops have such nice details. The off white top has a pretty eyelet detail and the floral top has a little gold shimmer – so nice!

The Lotus print utility top was nice. I left one of the sleeves rolled and the other down. It’s a pretty color and looks good with the blue pants. You can find the top here.

The next top was such a disappointment! Oh, how I wanted it to work but sadly the arms were too tight and the cut was all wrong for me. I tried it on with a pair of shorts that were fine, just standard, run of the mill denim, cuffed shorts. For size reference I tried the shirt in a small and the shorts in size 4. The shirt comes in red or blue, you can find it here and the shorts can be found here.

While we’re on the subject of things that just didn’t work out, enter Exhibit B, or rather this dress. It looked absolutely darling in the mailer and on the in-store mannequin. On me, not so much. I tried it on in a small.
The dress can be found here. It is such a pretty dress!

Another dress that was all wrong on me was this one.I’m not quite sure what went wrong here except EVERYTHING and when I took it off and hung it back on the hanger I gave it the side eye for making me look so bad, lol! I tried it on in a small. Ugh, bad, just bad.

The dress department redeemed itself with the next one. I tried it on in a small and as you can tell by the pictures, the stripes and sleeves are adorable. Dare I say it even looks pretty good with my Converse? You can find the dress here.

There are a few things I was hoping to see but my store didn’t seem to have them. Looks like I’ll be stalking another store to check on them. I’ll link them below for you to see.

You certainly deserve a medal or some other commendation if you stuck with me through all of that, it’s exhausting, right? But I do hope that it was helpful to see the clothes on a real body. If you’re in the market for some cute, Spring clothes check out the sale at Loft. It’s a great time to shop (but isn’t it always?)!

That’s what’s in This Blonde’s Shopping Bag today. Will you be shopping the sale at Loft?

Fashionably yours,

Kelly Ann I think Lift should give you a %! I did not know about the sale and not sure some of those tops would have caught my eye! I feel like I have the inside scoop now! Probably make my way to Loft this weekend! Thanks

I’ve been wondering about that last striped dress…looks adorable on you! That is my only complaint with Loft is I feel like I can never truly know for sure if something is going to fit or not just by looking online.

That’s what I love about a blog, the models online are so tall and skinny! I much prefer the way the clothes look on real women. Hope you have a wonderful weekend Shelly!
