I can probably count on one hand the number of concerts I have been to but since my husband really enjoys 80’s rock music (and I love all things 80’s) I have committed to going to one a year. Big. I know.
Here’s the thing – in my mind when I think of concerts I think of people wearing concert tees and jeans. I’m not a concert tee and jean kinda gal. However, there’s usually a lot of walking involved, standing in line waiting, and stairs to climb (we’re too cheap for floor seats) so comfort most definitely is something to consider.
Saturday night we went to see Night Ranger and Dennis De Young from Styx. The concert was about an hour away and we were having dinner first. It’s also been unseasonably warm for April in central Florida so keeping cool was another consideration.
My list of requirements for concert wear include:
- must look something I’d wear and not a costume – I’m not wearing 80’s garb and reliving my glory days
This dress is from last year – a great Amazon find (similar). Another option is this one from Nordstrom and it’s on sale. Both options have ruching – a great detail to help camoflauge a tummy. This a great tank option.
My jewelry is fairly simple. One of my favorite necklaces (similar) from Accessory Concierge (free shipping all month), tortoise shell earrings from Amazon, and my standard Kendra Scott bracelets. I wore an old crossbody bag (option)because it’s functional and I need a place for my phone and lipstick #priorities.
Make this Monday marvelous, it’s all about attitude!XO,
