Cowl Neck Cozy

A few firsts for me here today! First time I’m wearing a cowl neck, very first Lou & Grey piece, and first time I’m joining one of my blogging besties Lisa for a little collaboration!

So let’s address the cowl neck first. I’m pretty much not a fan of how they look on me, but this one really surprised me. See here’s the thing, when you have a larger chest a cowl neck adds bulk. Sometimes when I’m wearing a cowl neck or even a scarf I feel like I have a life jacket on! It’s just too much. But I couldn’t resist this one when I saw it because it is so super soft! I’m also loving the tunic length and side slit!

It’s also the first item I’ve purchased from the Lou & Grey line. It won’t be the last though; I have to stop myself from grabbing this everyday because it’s just that cozy!
It’s versatile and can be worn casually and even dressed up a bit! Although I have the light grey it comes in a beautiful camo green color too.

It’s funny how blogging brings people in your life just when you need them. I feel that way about several of the ladies I’v come to know on this journey and one of my very favorites is Lisa! Her blog is called Coast to Coast and I hope you’ll check her out. Not only do we comment on one another’s blogs each day but we message one another too. So when I was in Loft and messaged her to tell her what I was buying she told me she had ordered the same cowl neck tunic !  Here’s how Lisa styled her tunic:

I love how Lisa wore a vest, her leopard flats, and my favorite Kendra Scott necklace! Isn’t my friend beautiful y’all?

So regardless of what coast you’re on, this cowl neck tunic is for you! The first time I wore mine was out to happy hour with my husband. I wore it with black leggings and booties.
I love it dressed up a bit with my cropped light pink jeans and open toe booties (on sale!). Now that I look at the pictures I realize I should have thrown a necklace on too!
I could just as easily worn sneakers with this too! I’ll tell ya, this tunic is terrific!
Happy Wednesday friends!

XO,
Kellyann

You ladies are two cute texting each other at the store and finding out you had the same cowl neck. I am not a big turtle neck or cowl neck person, but there is one on Pink Blush I’m considering. I had to laugh when you said you feel like you’re wearing a life vest. Too funny. Both of you are adorable and I love the color of it!

Thanks Carrie, I know that sounds crazy but it’s true -everything sits up so high because of my chest I feel like I’m either suffocating or in a life vest – ha! I guess as long as the cowl neck part isn’t too big it will work.
Hey tomorrow I’m giving you a shout out on my post – my silver velvet top from Light in the box finally arrived and I’m wearing it tomorrow!

Well it certainly seems that way, yes? I am hoping all those plans come to fruition I could use some good girl time. It’s been ages for me since I’ve been out with girlfriends. It’s usually couples which is fine too! If I ever get a chance to travel across the pond I’m COMING FOR YOU! Ha, you’ve been warned my friend!

I’m so not a cowl neck {or turtle neck} wearer either. But I do love scarves. So weird. And, yeah, my aversion is because of my bust. Why can’t they be removable or downsizable? LOL

Hahahahaha Daenel! Wanna hear something crazy? I had a breast reduction in college – 3 pounds of breast tissue removed, how’s that for downsizable?! But a funny thing happens when you gain over 60 pounds each time you’re pregnant – yup, big bust again. Ugh!
