Welcome to the April edition of Ageless Style! Each month 9 over forty and fabulous women (and one equally fabulous guest co-host) take on a style theme proving that age is irrelevant when it comes to style! This month was my turn to choose the theme and guest co-host! I am excited about both. Each year I hear about the colors Pantone chooses as the “it”color and always wonder if that really influences our fashion decisions. So why not ask my friends to take on the challenge?
A Google search indicates that Living Coral is the 2019 Color of the Year. I’ve also heard that Pressed Rose made the list so the ladies had their choice!
I selected living coral. My closet has a few pieces in this vibrant shade but not many. I found this wrap top and had to get it. I already own it in blue so I knew I’d love the fit. It’s perfect for spring and summer. But also these earrings? Oh my word. So. Good. Also? Under $10. Buy them now. I was thrilled to because they are lightweight and you can actually see them on me! So many times my hair covers my earrings but these babies are on display!
Styling it was easy but I wanted to try a pair of cropped chinos. These are terrific and can be worn with a heel, flat, or more casually with a sneaker. You might remember these wedges from last year. Well, they’re baaaaaack! Still just as comfortable and I am thrilled I bought them in two colors last year. These are similar and a great option.
Where was I going you wonder? To dinner at our favorite Turkish restaurant with my husband and our best friends and then on to a local art museum. My clutch is so beautiful and like a piece of art itself! I pull it out every spring and summer – it goes with everything!
Overall I am thrilled with how this outfit turned out! Have you noticed more coral options in stores? Not only in clothing but tech gadgets and home decor too! My new Iphone is coral – not because I was trying to be trendy but it was either that or black – ha! Shop some coral goodness for yourself!
Now it’s time to meet my friend and guest co-host Kim of Fierce Fashion Blog. She is a fellow Floridian and someone I’ve met up with IRL a few times! You’ll love her! Follow Kim: Blog/Facebook/Twitter/Instagram.
